Wall-Plate AP
Room Wi-Fi & Wired Connections
For room or work area outlets, confirm the installation position, back box and power supply first.
Wi-Fi dead zones, unstable connections with many users, or a new office installation? We assess the layout, user numbers, APs and switches before planning.
Enquiries are welcome across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area; site, travel and work arrangements are confirmed for each project
Engineering Essentials
Fiber.com.hk accepts business Wi-Fi engineering enquiries in Hong Kong. We assess AP installation according to the layout, interference, concurrent users, devices and usage. AP numbers or complete coverage cannot be promised from floor area alone; guest isolation requires consideration of VLANs and access controls.
Suitable Scenarios Wi-Fi dead zones or concurrent user requirements in offices, shops and warehouses

Coverage Planning for Shared Areas
For shared areas in offices, shops or homes, assess partitions, interference and user numbers.

Central Management of Multiple APs
Assess configuration, monitoring and roaming needs. The controller type and compatibility depend on the agreed design.
Configured to Suit the Design
Plan Connectivity and Power Together
Check AP power specifications, switch power capacity, ports and cable routes.
Illustration for reference only
Not every design needs a separate hardware AC. Management, compatibility, licensing and roaming depend on the brand and model. AP numbers and coverage require site assessment.

AP numbers and complete coverage cannot be promised from floor area alone. Equipment planning requires assessment of the layout, interference, capacity and usage.
AP positions depend on LAN outlets, power supply and switch capabilities. The suitability of existing equipment needs confirmation.
Guest Wi-Fi separation and isolation require consideration of VLANs and access controls. A separate Wi-Fi name may not provide the required isolation.

AGREE BEFORE QUOTING · CHECK AT HANDOVER
Coverage, concurrent connections, roaming and guest access are different requirements. Describe your usage first, then agree the locations, devices and applications to test.
Where you connect
List the coverage areas, usual devices, floors and important locations. Test records should state the conditions at the time.
What you need to do
Identify video calls, voice, scanning and everyday browsing needs. A single speed test should not represent the entire experience.
Who can access what
If guest or work-device segmentation is included, agree permitted and restricted access and validate it with the existing equipment.
These are acceptance items to discuss, not a promise that every quotation includes all tests or documents. Confirm the actual scope first.
No. AP installation also requires assessment of walls, glass rooms, floors, interference, concurrent users and devices. Existing AP, switch and cabling information helps the assessment; the final design requires site confirmation.
A separate Wi-Fi name may not provide guest isolation. Existing equipment capabilities, VLANs, access controls and company network usage need to be considered together to confirm which resources guests can access.
Assess AP mounting against rooms or shared areas, partitions, existing LAN outlets and power supply. Whether an AC / controller needs separate hardware depends on AP brands and models, management, compatibility and licensing. Not every design needs an additional hardware controller.
Record wired and Wi-Fi performance separately, including affected locations, concurrent users and existing routers, APs and switches. The engineering team assesses the site and equipment; adding one AP or providing floor area alone may not be enough to determine the right improvement.
Start by providing brands, models and quantities. The engineering team will assess equipment capabilities, power supply, management and separation requirements.
You can state a preference for UniFi, Cisco, Aruba or another brand in your enquiry. Brands are customer-selectable specifications; their inclusion does not claim a partnership or certification.
You can start before the specifications are clear. We will work through them with you.
